Overview
VARIOKIT Pier System (VPS) is a high-performance system that combines the advantages of self-supporting formwork and the traditional dancefloor formwork.
VPS consists of two possible configurations: VARIOKIT Speed Stage (VSS) for the construction of pier heads without shoring from below and VARIOKIT Speed Column (VSC) for the efficient production of bridge piers as well as large columns.
Because the system is based on the VARIOKIT engineering construction kit, almost all project requirements can be met with rentable solutions.
VSS Configuration
The VSS configuration is optimised for the production of cross beams and hammer heads of bridge piers. VSS allows short cycle times. It is also fast and easily assembled. Pre-assembly can be carried out conveniently on the ground, thus pre-assembled VARIOKIT Speed Stage units already have safety features installed. This means that the work environment is safe before the first access.
VSS also allows for a comfortable way of reinforcement work, because the side formwork is only closed after completion of the reinforcement work. In addition, the side formwork is system-independent and can be stripped and reused as early as the day after concreting.
Another feature that adds to this is the safe and innovative Split-Soffit technology of VSS.This all leads to a small number of required formwork sets and - at the same time - ensures fast construction progress.
VSC Configuration
This configuration is suited for the efficient production of bridge piers and large columns.
VSC allows for fast handling and high concreting speed and is very flexible. It is built by the same components as the Speed Stage configuration. Different column cross-sections can be realised in 5 cm steps without anchors with the VSS configuration.
Another advantage of VSS is the result of the concrete finish, which is very high.
